Melanie Lina (nee Hadley) returns to St. Louis to give a recital of classical favorites and holiday tunes. The programs includes Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata, Debussy's L'isle joyeuse, Gershwin Preludes, a set of Chopin pieces, and celebratory surprises from around the world to round out the evening.
Melanie is known to St. Louis audiences as a former winner of the Artist Presentation Society and National Society of Arts and Letters Competitions, a Presidential Scholar and a former student of Jane Allen at the St. Louis Conservatory and Schools for the Arts. She moved to New Zealand in 2010, where she is active as a soloist, collaborator and teacher. More information can be found on her website.
